Samsung phones
Many Samsung Galaxy phones work with MiruXR, but a few things can get in the way. Here is what to check.
AndroidTurn off Samsung DeX
Section titled "Turn off Samsung DeX"DeX is Samsung's desktop mode. When it's on, it takes over the glasses' display, and MiruXR can't show anything on them. MiruXR warns you with Turn off Samsung DeX.
- Swipe down from the top of the phone screen to open the quick settings panel.
- Tap DeX to turn it off.
- Go back to MiruXR. The warning goes away, and MiruXR shows in the glasses.
No head tracking with a VPN or ad blocker
Section titled "No head tracking with a VPN or ad blocker"Since version 2.2.2, a VPN app or an ad blocker that works as a VPN (for example Tailscale or AdGuard) no longer stops head tracking. The first time, MiruXR asks for access to the glasses over USB: allow it. With an older version, exclude MiruXR in that app or turn it off while you use the glasses. More in Head tracking problems.
No head tracking on Android 17
Section titled "No head tracking on Android 17"Several Samsung phones on Android 17 (Galaxy S25 Ultra, S23 Ultra, Z Fold 7) showed the picture with XREAL One Series glasses but never connected their sensors. Since version 2.2.2, MiruXR connects to them by itself. If MiruXR asks for access to the glasses over USB, allow it. If nothing follows your head after that, send us a report.
Find Developer options
Section titled "Find Developer options"To open your phone's apps as windows, MiruXR needs a one-time setup that uses Developer options. On a Samsung, you unlock them here: Settings > About phone > Software information > Build number (tap Build number 7 times). The full steps are in Set up Android apps.
Other problems
Section titled "Other problems"- Nothing shows in the glasses: Glasses not detected.
- Problems with the picture or 3D: Picture and display problems.
